We are heartbroken at the loss of our mentor, our historian, our go-to guy for everything...     Howard Hammond. 

We expected him to be there for us forever.  What an honor it has been to have spent time with him, to learn from him, to laugh out loud with him. 

We will miss his stories, his suspenders, his uncanny way of connecting all the right people to do all the right things, not only for SAHA, but for Slater and Story County. 

  It has been a privilege to call Howard a FRIEND.
